Landscape Planning
We are able to advise and assist with any planning requirements from the Local Authority in regard of the discharge of Landscape Conditions, advice on Tree Preservation Orders and any other matters in relation to Planning or Permitted Development from a landscape perspective.
Most planning consents in respect of new build properties now require a fully detailed landscape plan to be drawn up and submitted to the Planning Authority before the work can begin. We have enabled a number of difficult planning schemes to proceed and have provided mitigating plans for consent adjacent to SSSI's, and organised ecological surveys and tree population assessments.
In addition we have a wide range of expertise available to us across the planning spectrum.
Consent was granted for the scheme below in 2017. It required a significant percentage of the design to be 'natural planting'. This drawing specifies the detailed mix of natural meadow plants added around an existing Orchard.
Boat of Garten Rural Development
In 2019 we produced a Masterplan and Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) for a ground breaking affordable housing scheme within the Cairngorm National Park. This estate includes entirely naturalistic planting, rain gardens and wholly permeable surfaces. Planning has been granted for this scheme and we look forward to seeing it come to fruition.
